California International Animation Festival 2013
CalAniFest 2013
The California International Animation Festival is dedicated to a recognition that animation, gaming and film making are not separate businesses, but fingers on the same hand.
CalAniFest is now a broadcast event on a local TV station, KAZV-TV, in the Central Valley of California. This allows over 100,000 homes to view and vote on their favorite animated films, during the month of August. KAZV-TV is now simulcast on the internet. This will allow anyone in the world to watch your animated film and vote for the audience favorite. As an international arts, entertainment, and educational organization, the Fireside Foundation, Inc., inspires young and emerging artists through exhibitions, as well as educational programs on an international level. Categories There will be 5 separately juried competitions in the 2013 California International Animation Festival, open to entries from anywhere in the world. The juried competitions are as follows. During the month of June 2012, CalAniFest 2012 films were shown the KAZV-Tv audience in the Central Valley of California. The audience response was phenomenal. Everyone raved about the films. The animators are amazing. The stories such as The Amazing Adventures of Captain Caboo made you laugh, while Worlds Apart with its beautiful animation and relevant message made you cry. Two films, Jingle All The Way and Flight of Magic, should become instant Christmas Classics, while Scrap Metal let you fall in love with a robot and A Cloudy Conundrum made you want to cuddle up to the cloud creatures.Needless to say the judges had a difficult job. You can see the results on the winners page. Although every film shown was a winner with the audience!
Many thanks to all the filmmakers for such great films. The 2012 winners!
